Milkshake Slushie

A milkshake slushie combines the creamy, sweet richness of a traditional milkshake with the icy, refreshing texture of a frozen beverage. Made with milk, ice, and flavorings blended until smooth, it has a crisp, frosty appearance and a thick, slushy consistency ideal for hot days or a quick treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk preferably chilled
  • 2 cups ice cubes roughly crushed or whole
  • 2 tbsp sugar syrup or simple syrup, optional for extra sweetness
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract adds flavor
  • 1 cup leftover ice cream or milk optional for richness or additional flavor options

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Pour the chilled milk into your blender, creating a cool base for the slushie.
  2. Add the ice cubes to the blender, filling it until nearly full to achieve a thick, icy texture.
  3. Measure in the sugar syrup and vanilla extract, then sprinkle in any leftover ice cream or milk for extra flavor and creaminess.
  4. Secure the lid on the blender and blend everything on high speed for about 30-45 seconds until the mixture is smooth, thick, and icy, with a frosty appearance.
  5. Stop the blender and check the consistency—it should be creamy but still retain a slushy, semi-frozen texture. If needed, add a splash of milk and blend briefly again.
  6. Pour the milkshake slushie into glasses and garnish with a straw or a small dollop of whipped cream if desired.

Notes

Adjust the amount of ice or milk to achieve your preferred consistency. You can swap flavorings like matcha or chocolate for variety.
