Ingredients

  • 1 ball pizza dough store-bought or homemade, elastic and easy to stretch
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce preferably thick and slightly tangy
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded or sliced, for melting
  • 20 slices pepperoni cut into fun shapes if desired
  • 1/4 cup black olives pitted and sliced for spooky eyes
  • 1/2 cup green peppers chopped for color and crunch
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for brushing crust edges

Equipment

  • Pizza stone or baking sheet
  • Rolling pin
  • Pizza cutter or sharp knife
  • Kitchen brushes
  • Small spoons and knives

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (430°F) and place your pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat up.
  2. Lightly flour a surface and roll out your pizza dough into a 12-inch circle, aiming for an even, thin layer that’s easy to stretch.
  3. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edges for the crust.
  4. Sprinkle a generous layer of mozzarella cheese all over the sauce, creating a bubbly, cheesy base.
  5. Arrange pepperoni slices on top to form spooky faces or shapes, making sure to leave some space for other decorations.
  6. Transfer the prepared pizza onto the hot pizza stone or baking sheet carefully, then bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  7. Remove the pizza from the oven and immediately brush the crust edges with olive oil for a glossy, crisp finish.
  8. Add spooky toppings like sliced black olives for eyes and chopped green peppers for extra color and texture, placing them carefully on the hot pizza.
  9. Let the pizza rest for about 5 minutes to settle and cool slightly, making slicing easier.
  10. Slice the pizza with a sharp knife or pizza cutter into wedges, revealing the gooey cheese and playful toppings.
  11. Serve your spooky creation hot, and enjoy the fun, festive flavors and imaginative design.

Notes

Feel free to get creative with toppings—think ghost shapes with cheese, or use different colored peppers for extra spookiness.
