Gatorade Slushie

This Gatorade slushie is a frozen beverage made by chilling and blending electrolyte-rich sports drinks until smooth and icy. The texture is refreshingly thick and slushy, with vibrant colors and a tangy sweetness that mimics the familiar taste of the original drink in a frozen form.

Ingredients

  • 2 bottles Gatorade or similar sports drink preferably chilled

Equipment

  • Freezer
  • Blender

Method

  1. Pour the sports drink into a container and freeze it overnight or for at least 4 hours until it's solid and icy.
  2. Break the frozen Gatorade into smaller chunks using a spoon or your hands to make blending easier.
  3. Add the frozen chunks to your blender. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth, thick, and slushy, with a frozen texture that feels scoopable.
  4. Once fully blended, pour the slushie into glasses, giving it a vibrant, icy appearance with beads of condensation forming on the outside.
  5. Optionally, add a squeeze of fresh lime for extra tang or a splash of lemon-lime soda for fizz. Serve immediately with a straw and enjoy the cold, refreshing taste.

Notes

For a more intense chill, freeze the Gatorade in ice cube trays and blend those cubes directly. Adjust the blending time for thicker or more liquid consistency as desired.
