Ingredients

  • 1 cup brewed coffee cooled or chilled overnight
  • 1.5 cups ice cubes preferably small or crushed
  • 2 tbsp sugar syrup adjust to taste
  • 1/4 cup milk dairy or plant-based, chilled
  • optional vanilla extract or cinnamon for added flavor, optional

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Coffee maker or espresso machine

Method

  1. Pour the cooled brewed coffee into the blender, ensuring it’s well chilled for a refreshing texture.
  2. Add the ice cubes to the coffee in the blender, filling it up to create a frosty base.
  3. Pour in the sweetened liquid, such as sugar syrup, to add the right amount of sweetness.
  4. Include the chilled milk to give the slushie a rich, creamy consistency.
  5. If desired, add a splash of vanilla extract or a pinch of cinnamon to deepen the flavor profile.
  6. Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high until the mixture is smooth, icy, and slightly thickened, about 30-45 seconds. Listen for the ice cracking as it whirls around.
  7. Pour the blended slushie into chilled glasses, watching the icy, frosty texture settle and shimmer.
  8. Optional: Garnish with a sprinkle of cocoa powder, a dollop of whipped cream, or a cinnamon stick for a visually appealing finish.

Notes

For an extra icy texture, add frozen coffee cubes or keep the coffee prepared in advance. Adjust sweetness and milk amount to suit your taste preferences. Serve immediately for the best frosty experience.
