- Place the blueberries in the freezer and let them freeze overnight until they are solid and icy.
- Remove the blueberries from the freezer and transfer them directly into the blender jar.
- Add a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice to the blueberries to brighten the flavor.
- Blend everything on high speed for about 30-45 seconds until the mixture turns into a thick, icy mash with a slushy texture.
- Pause and check the texture—if it's too icy, add a small splash of water and pulse again until smooth but still refreshingly frozen.
- Once the slushie is thick, scoop it into glasses, and optionally garnish with a few fresh blueberries or a lemon wedge.
Notes
For a thicker texture, add a few frozen banana slices. Serve immediately for the best icy crunch. If it starts to melt, give it a quick stir or shake before drinking.
